Scott is an original member of the Crossmen, singing tenor since its beginning. Scott and Boyce were raised in a family rich in southern gospel tradition. Being the youngest in his family, he grew up listening to his father, uncles, and brother sing in a group called The Travelers Quartet. At the age of eighteen, Scott decided that he wanted to follow in their footsteps and became a member of The Travelers. In high school Scott was a member of the band and choir. He also could be found singing for many local civic activities. Scott holds both a Bachelor's and Master's Degrees of Science from Western Kentucky University. While attending college he studied with many vocal coaches and continues to take vocal training. Scott and his wife, Kara, have been married since 1996, and are life long Butler County residents. They are members of Aberdeen Baptist Church and reside in Morgantown, KY with their daughters, Katherine, age 7, and Delaina, age 3.
